Increase yield of vegetables

The Soviet selectors breed breeds of vegetable cultures for each soil-climatic zone of the country, various ripenings on times, for cultivation in opened and a sheltered ground, consumption in a fresh kind and for different kinds of processing qualitatively new breeds and heterosis forms of plants Are etc. bred also: cold-resistant, determinant, bole breeds of a tomato; keeper and ultra-early ripening breeds of cabbage, and also a breed, resistant against a clubroot; partially monoecious forms of a cucumber; breeds of carrot with the raised content of carotin; an one-seeded table beet, breeds of a beet for an early winter sowing. On 1974 637 breeds (80 %) Soviet selection have been zoned 796 breeds and hybrids of vegetable cultures, from them.

Measures on an increase yield of vegetable cultures

The basic agrotechnical measures applied to an increase yield of vegetable cultures: use of high-quality seeds of the most productive breeds and hybrids, introduction of efficient rotations with scientifically proved crop rotation, an irrigation, application in sufficient doses organic and fertilizers, agrotechnical, biological and chemical protection frames of plants from pests, diseases and weeds. Melon freezing

For freezing use a ripe, juicy melon with a thin peel. A melon cut on slices in 3-4 sm, cutting off a peel. Melon slices lay in small glass jars. Will boil water, add in it the same quantity of sugar and weld a thick syrup. When the syrup will cool down, fill in with it melon slices, close jars caps and put in a freezer. Now within several months you can regale on fragrant and tasty slices of a melon.

Freezing of cucumbers

Medium-sized young cucumbers, in the length no more than 12 sm, wash out in cold water and cut across rings the in width about 5 mm. Cucumber mugs lay in a polythene bag and a cardboard box and freeze. To store the frozen cucumbers it is possible about half a year.

Freezing of eggplants

Eggplants, after their storage in the frozen kind, keep all nutritious and gustative properties. For freezing select strong, small eggplants with a smooth, intact peel. Eggplants wash out cold water, cut off leaves and pedicles and cut eggplants small slices in 3-4 Slices of eggplants see scald boiled water and, having cast away on a cullender, allow to them to cool down. The cooled down slices of eggplants place in polythene bags and put in a froster. Freeze eggplants at temperature-20 degrees.

Bulb onion freezing

Bulb onion bulbs are frozen the same as also feathers of green onion. Onion clear of a peel, cut small slices and fry them on vegetable oil or animal fat. The cooled down fried onion lay in jars or polythene bags and freeze.
